Abstract

929,688. Cartons; packages. ARENCO A.B. March 2, 1961 [March 12, 1960], No. 7728/61. Classes 18 and 94(1). A cigarette carton is made from a tubular blank with top end closure panels 10, 11, 12, 13 sealed by a strip 17 of thicker material whose end portion 23 has flaps 27 secured to side wall 6 by adhesive zones 26 to form a pocket to receive the adjacent trapezoidal shaped portion 21 to which it is initially attached by the partly slit line 24. The end part 10 has a fracturable panel extending partly into wall 6 which is torn open when the tongue 21 is pulled upwards. Parts 19, 20 of strip 17 are secured to the carton by adhesive zones 25.
