929,006. Steam turbine plant. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. Dec. 19, 1960 [Dec. 18, 1959], No. 43629/60. Addition to 889,076. Class 110 (3). This invention relates to a power plant as described and claimed in the parent Specification, in which a forced flow, once through boiler having a reheater supplies a turbine having at least a high-pressure stage and a low pressure stage, there being a water-containing vessel connected to the outlet of the highpressure turbine such that some of the steam passes into and through the water in the vessel and gives up some of its heat, this steam and the additional steam generated in the vessel being conveyed through the reheater to the low-pressure turbine. According to the invention, the steam supply and discharge pipes of the water-containing vessel are interconnected by a pipe provided with a valve controlled by the temperature in the steam piping between the reheater and the lowpressure stage of the turbine. A turbine comprises a high-pressure stage 1 and a lowpressure stage 2 connected to a generator 3. The steam from the low-pressure stage 2 is condensed in a condenser 4 and the condensate delivered by a pump 5 through a pre-heating installation 6 to a feed water container 7. A further pump 8 discharges through highpressure bled steam feed-water heaters 17, 18 to a water-containing vessel 9. The liquid from the vessel 9 is delivered by a pump 10 to a boiler 11. The steam from the stage 2 passing through the water chamber of the vessel 9 gives up its superheat and produces additional steam. The newly produced steam and cooled steam flows through the reheater 15 to the lowpressure turbine stage 2. The water-containing vessel 9 is provided with a by-pass 19 containing a valve 20 controlled by the temperature in the steam pipe between the reheater and the lowpressure turbine stages. The valve 20 closes as the temperature increases and vice versa. An additional valve 23, controlled in the opposite direction to the valve 20, may be provided in the outlet from the vessel 9. A pipe connecting the line steam pipe with the intermediate pressure pipe 13 and having a reducing valve 16, may be provided to provide further control of the temperature of the steam in the intermediate section.
