Abstract

927,254. Spectacle frames. F. BEREND. Dec. 30, 1959 [March 12, 1959; Oct. 16, 1959], No. 44286/59. Class 97 (1). A semi-rigid plastic spectacle frame comprises a front bar 5 and a pair of temple arms each comprising two elements 1, 3; the front element 1, which is tubular, is hinged to the front bar and has a notched slot 16 extending lengthwise, the rear element is slidable in the front element and has a pin 4 for engaging the notches, the slot and pin being deformable to allow relative movement between the elements. The elements may be of rectangular cross-section and addition pins and slots (e.g. pins 7, 8 and slots 1d) may be provided. The front elements may be detachably hinged to the front bar by means of pins 6 which engage holes 2 formed in resilient lugs 1c on the front elements.
