926,197. Filters. GENERAL MOTORS Ltd. Dec. 29, 1961 [Dec. 30, 1960], No. 44792/60. Class 46. A filter casing consists of a generally cupshaped member 1 having an open-ended cylindrical body portion 2 and an integral frustoconical base portion 3 the wall of which extends from its junction with the body portion at an acute angle to the plane of the junction and terminates in a centrally-apertured flat end portion 4 which is integrally connected to the frusto-conical portion 3 by an annular reentrant wall portion 5, there being secured to the flat end portion 4 of the casing, as by welding, an annular stiffener plate 7, the outer peripheral portion of which is curved so as to overlie the re-entrant wall portion 5.
