Abstract
926,153. Razor blade magazines; packaging. GILLETTE CO. Feb. 29, 1960, No. 7018/60. Classes 18 and 94(1). A razor blade magazine comprises a moulded resinous plastic body 10, a blade supporting plate 30 with spring portions 32, and a sheet metal cover 40, the cover having inturned flanges 44 that engage and stress the portions 32 and so cause the blades to be urged towards the cover. Slots in the blades engage studs 19, 20 on the body, the blades being loaded in staggered relation. To assemble the magazine, the plate 30 and the blades are placed on the body and the cover is placed in position and then the magazine is inverted. A tool 36, Fig. 7, is passed through slots 26 in the body and forces the portions 32 into engagement with the inturned flanges 44 on the cover. The side walls 43 of the cover are pressed in to engage beneath ribs 13 on the body and ears 45 are bent to engage corresponding portions on the ribs 13. Specification 733,608 is referred to.
