926,098. Speedometers. S. SMITH & SONS (ENGLAND) Ltd. July 13, 1960 [July 13, 1959], No. 24010/59. Class 106 (3). [Also in Group XXIV] A speedometer 152 and an output speedresponsive governor 124 for a motor vehicle change-speed control (see Group XXIV) are both driven from a shaft 116 which is geared to the output shaft 122 of the change-speed gear. In Fig. 1 (not shown), the shaft 116 drives through a flexible shaft the permanent magnet of the speedometer, which magnet is arranged within a magnetic drag cup, rotation of which is opposed by spring means and the cup is connected to the speedometer pointer. Specification 753,598 is referred to.
