An acoustic panel comprises a backing board 2, e.g. of hardboard or insulation board, having secured to it parallel strips 4 of insulation board so spaced and shaped as to leave dovetail slots 6 wider at their base than at their open ends, the angles of their side faces preferably being about 30 degrees. The strips 4 are preferably faced with wood veneer or P.V.C. sheeting, and are preferably made by cutting large sheets of prefacedmaterial. The slots render the product to some extent flexible.
