Abstract

913,892. Filters. ESCHER WYSS A.G. Sept. 1, 1959 [Sept. 19, 1958], No. 29796/59. Class 46. A screen lining for a bush type centrifugal filter comprises a number of bar shaped members 3 arranged to extend in the direction of the drum axis and provided with glide surfaces 6 having trough-like depressions 7 which may, as shown, commence only beyond the region 3<SP>1</SP>, over which the pusher member passes, in the throughput direction and which retain some of the liquid extracted from the centrifuged material. The troughs 7 are preferably provided with outlets 8 or they may extend to one or both ends of the bar. In another embodiment the members 3 are formed from plate strips curved in a troughlike manner. In a further embodiment several members 3 are connected together by being formed from a single plate divided by slits.
