A resilient hub cap has thin flexible walls 2 which may be doubled back over the base 1, with gaps 3 in the top of the front wall 2a adjacent the junction of the front and side walls which facilitate doubling back of the walls and define a free upper portion 2b of the front wall. The cap may be retained on the shoe by clips 4 which engage over the sole of the shoe and/or a screw passing through the base. The cap may be moulded integrally or built-up.
