Abstract
911,442. Bearings. SKF KUGELLAGERFABRIKEN G.m.b.H. July 9, 1959 [Sept. 9, 1958], No. 23596/59. Addition to 836,178. Class 12 (1). In the bearing arrangement for the bottom rolls of textile drafting mechanism described in the parent Specification, the cover 16 is provided with a U-shaped cap 18 having side walls 18<SP>1</SP> which reach down around at least part of the circumference of the bottom roll 5 to provide an additional sealing effect. The cap 18 may be held in place frictionally on the cover 16, or, alternatively, it may be pivoted thereon, as shown in Fig. 7. The cap may also comprise a lower portion which can be clipped in place or may be mounted pivotally on the cover or on the upper parts of the side walls. The cover 16 may carry a pin 19, Fig. 5, or similar projection, which engages a recess 20 in the opter ring 13 for location thereof.
