Abstract

911,305. Rectifying. HIGH VOLTAGE ENGINEERING CORPORATION. July 16, 1959 [Oct. 2, 1958], No. 24442/59. Class 38 (2). A rectifying arrangement in which a high direct voltage is obtained from an alternating input voltage by means of a multi-stage arrangement of capacitors and rectifiers includes a distributed arrangement of rectifiers and inductances 3, 4 for each stage (Fig. 2). As shown, the inductances are formed from overlapping conductors 1 on a plastic tape 2 with semi-conductor rectifiers between their ends, the tape being disposed in relation to an alternating flux so that voltages are induced in the conductors.
