Abstract
A precipitation-hardenable alloy has the following percentage composition: .C-.-.-.-.0-0.08 .Fe.-.-.-.4-6 .Cr.-.-.-.14-17 .B.-.-.-.0.05-0.1 .Al.-.-.-.3.6-5 .Ti.-.-.-.2.7-4 .Mo.-.-.-.4-7 .Ni.-.-.-.the remainder, the Al being more than 4 when Ti is 2.7-3 and 3.6-4 when Ti is more than 3. The alloy may be solution treated at 2075-2200 DEG F. for 1 hour, air cooled and then aged.
