Abstract
917,820. Nuclear reactors. UNITED KING- DOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. Nov. 24, 1961 [Aug. 24, 1960], No. 6489/60. Class 39 (4). Erosion of graphite moderator by carbon dioxide coolant is reduced by adding to the coolant hydrogen, carbon tetrachloride, monofluorotrichloromethane or methyl alcohol, the quantity of such inhibitor in the coolant being subject to control exercised externally of the reactor This quantity lies between 0.5 and 20% by volume according to the inhibitor used. Specification 874,487 is referred to.
