Abstract

917,446. Dental douches. SIEMENSREINIGER-WERKE A.G. Nov. 24, 1961 [Nov. 26, 1960], No. 42156/61. Class 81 (2). Apparatus for use in dental treatment comprises an electrically-heated liquid container and an electromagnetic valve arranged to control supply of liquid from the container and attached thereto in thermally conductive connection with the liquid in the container whereby, during operation, the valve is maintained at substantially the same temperature as the liquid in the container. Water from the container at a temperature of from 70 to 80‹ C. is mixed with air to form a spray which is directed on the treatment zone during drilling and grinding work. The open end of a tubular water container 7 is closed by a valve body 1 provided with an inlet connection 2, and an outlet connection 3 which is controlled by a valve 6 adapted to be opened against the bias of a spring 4 by an energized solenoid 5. The container is heated by an external electrical element 8 controlled by a thermostat 9, and is enclosed by an insulating cover formed in two parts 11, 12 held together by a spring clip 13.
