Abstract

916,923. Cable clips. FORD MOTOR CO. Ltd. Sept. 22, 1961 [Aug. 11, 1960], No. 27881/60. Class 36. [Also in Group XXV] A generally U-shaped clip for retaining electrical wiring in position comprises a pair of parallel legs each consisting of resilient plastics material in the form of a series of similar frustoconical sections each tapered towards the free end of the leg and a bridge-piece joining the legs and adapted to engage the wiring to be secured. The conical portions may be contiguous or may be separated by cylindrical portions of the legs which are preferably hollow and made from polyethylene. In use the legs are pushed into circular holes in a panel so that the cable is gripped and the plane faces of the conical portions are held against the partition, forming a waterproof seal.
