915,424. Non-refillable stoppers. OSTHEIM, F. Nov.10, 1959, No.38052/59. Class 66. A non-refillable stopper 4 of synthetic plastics material, e.g. polyethylene, comprises a portion 9 which secures the stopper in a bottle neck, a liquid-dispensing channel 5, 7 of biconical form in its central portion a freely movable ball 6 held in by internal lugs 7a, and a screw cap 10, 11. In a modification, the stopper is integral with the cap, Fig. 2 (not shown), and the cap portion is cut off by a knife in order to allow liquid to be poured out, a vent pipe being incorporated in the stopper body. Or again, Fig. 4, a vent pipe 27 may be arranged in the lower solid portion of the stopper. A closure strip 20a holds the stopper in position.
