Abstract

914,030. Fuel nozzles; starting. KIGASS Ltd. Jan. 9, 1959 [Oct. 9, 1957], No. 31519/57. Classes 7(3) and 7(5) A fuel atomizer fitted in an induction manifold to facilitate cold starting comprises a body 4 screw-threaded externally at 1 to screw into a hole in the manifold wall and internally at 16 for the connection of the fuel pipe, a device 12 for causing the fuel flowing to the discharge orifice 6 to which being situated downstream of a spring-loaded ball valve 14. In Fig. 1 the whirling device 12 comprises a cup 11 with spiral grooves on its exterior whereas in Fig. 2 the discharge orifice 24 is formed in a plate 23 butting against a cup 26 with tangential fuel inlets 27.
