902,199. Mould and core materials. STARCH PRODUCTS Ltd. May 7, 1959 [March 20, 1958], No. 8983/58. Class 83 (1). Cores are made from sand, about 1-5% of a binder, and a core oil or resin, the moulded core being baked at a temperature of at least 175-180‹ C., the binder composition comprising by weight 100 parts cereal binder, 2-20 parts sugar, and 2-20 parts of a halogen acid and salt or mixture of salts of halogen acids that form the acid on heating to 175‹ C. The cereal binder may be pre-gelatinized starch or starchy flour, or dextrine, the sugar glucose, and the halogen salt ammonium chloride.
