Abstract

901,896. Heat insulated pipes. WESER A.G. Jan. 30, 1959 [Feb. 1, 1958], No. 3467/59. Class 99(2). [Also in Group XXVI] In a gas turbine the duct from the combustion chamber to the turbine consists of a thin walled inner casing 17 of corrosion resistant material and an outer casing 18 of heavier constructional steel. The space between the walls is filled with baffle material 15 and pressurised by perforated pipes 12 connected to the compressor. The pipes 12 may lie freely in the insulation or be welded to the outer casing.
