Abstract

901,575. Suction cleaner nozzles. SIEMENS-SCHUCKERTWERKE A.G. May 27, 1960 [May 29, 1959], No. 18846/60. Class 8(1). A suction cleaner nozzle has two elongated suction inlets 1, 2, Fig. 1, connected to a suction duct 10 through a lateral aperture 8, Fig. 2, of a rotatable socket 5 according to the setting thereof; inlet 1 serving for cleaning by suction assisted by a retractable brush 13 therein and inlet 2 being bridged by rubber beater strips 22 vibrated by incoming air and thus serving to clean by beating assisted by suction. Roller brushes 28-31 are mounted in recesses in the nozzle side plate 3 which has spaced front and rear projections 23 and rollers 24-27 at the corners thereof. The brush 13 is carried by a vertical rod 16 having recessed portions 19, 20 engaged by a locking spring.
