Abstract

Synthetic resin compositions comprise a mixture of a metal powder and a plasticized resinous material of the group of polymerized mono-olefinic compounds including the polymerized mono ethylenically unsaturated compounds. The resin may be added to the metal powder as a solution in an organic solvent such as toluene, naphtha or xylene or as a fluid melt. In an example polyethylene is melted at 140 DEG C. to 180 DEG C. and 10 gms. of the melt is mixed with 100 gms. of minus 325 mesh stainless steel powder. In a further example a solution of polyisobutylene in toluene was mixed with stainless steel powder.
