Abstract

901,029. Window &c. frames; joining metal members. CRITTALL MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Jan. 17, 1961 [Jan. 18, 1960], No. 1759/60. Classes 20 (2) and 20 (3). The adjoining members of a joint of a window &c, frame 1, 2 are held securely together by an angular cleat 5, Fig. 3, with the limbs positioned along said members and having a bore 8 in each limb parallel to the direction of the limb, the bores being offset from each other and each receiving a screw 11 which co-operates with a nut 9 supported within a slot in one of the adjacent side members 1, 2. Alternatively, the cleat may be disposed on the outside of the frame. The frame members may be tubular or solid. Specification 590,954 is referred to.
