Abstract
900,703. Transformers and inductances. WEYMOUTH RADIO MANUFACTURING CO. Ltd. Nov. 7, 1960 [March 1, 1960], No. 7183/60. Class 38 (2). [Also in Group XXXVI] An adjustable highfrequency coil assembly for use with thermionic or semiconductor devices comprises a ferrite or bonded iron core b carrying a winding c which is surrounded by an axially adjustable screwthreaded ferrite or bonded dust bush d fitted in an internallythreaded insulating sleeve e attached to the base a which carries the core and circuit terminals h. A small capacitor i may be included in the assembly, as shown, or in a recess in the base. A detachable metal cover g is provided. A flat or cup-shaped ferrite ring (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown) surrounding part of the core may be attached to the base. According to the Provisional Specification the assembly may be a transformer.
