909,680. Sound-on-film apparatus. PAILLARD, S. A. Dec. 22, 1960 [Dec. 29, 1959], No. 44084/60. Class 40 (2). A tight-loop sound-head 9, attached to a base member 2 carrying sound apparatus and supporting a kine projector 1, has guide rollers 18, 19 whose axles 22, 25 are each supported by pairs of arms pivoted at 28 and independently sprung by springs 29 such that the axles are capable of limited rocking movement from the axes shown to accommodate slightly non- rectilinear film. The invention is illustrated in conjunction with magnetic, but is stated to be usable also with optical sound.
