Abstract

909,554. Conveyer floors on vehicles. BAY, J. A. M. March 14, 1961, No. 9205/61. Class 78(4). Transverse bars 1 resting on the floor of a vehicle are joined at their ends by cables 2, 3 and vary in length so that the cables converge, in plan, as shown: this permits the cables to be wound in helices on a drum 4 without running over any of the bars 1 which are spaced so that they fit between one another on the drum. In the form illustrated, the cables 2, 3 terminate in a moving wall 5 which can be retracted by a manually or power operated winch. The cables 2, 3 may be replaced by chains.
