Abstract

908,066. Ladders. MATTHEWS, C. H. Aug. 24, 1960 [Aug. 24, 1959], No. 28803/59. Class 20 (2). A ladder is engaged with a gutter &c. 7 by means of a projection 6 on a collar 1 which surrounds the ladder stile 2, a gap being provided in the strap for the passage of the rungs 4. The projections of the collars on the two stiles may be connected by a cross-bar. A flat spring secured by a rivet 5 provides a frictional grip on the stile.
