907,504. Radiant heaters. NASSHEUER, J., NASSHEUER, A., and HOPFNER, M., [trading as NASSHEUER, INDUSTRIEOFENBAU UND ELEKTROTECHNIK, JEAN]. Jan. 13, 1961, No. 1591/61. Class 51 (1). A radiant heater comprises a sleeve 1 enclosing a coaxial perforated flame tube 2 supplied with a gas/air mixture, and a perforated screen 8 mounted between the flame tube and the sleeve. The perforations in the screen 8 are offset with respect to the perforations in the flame tube 2. The flame tube 2 is provided with an aperture 6 at its end. The screen 8 is closed at its end adjacent the end of the sleeve 1 by a plate 11 and the screen is provided with large openings 12 adjacent the plate 11. The screen 8 is removably secured to the flame tube 2 by supports 14, or to the sleeve 1.
