Abstract

906,951. Floor-polishing machines. ROSENBERG, J. D. Jan. 10, 1961, No. 1079/61. Class 138 (1). In a floor-polishing machine in which a single polishing brush 26, Fig. 1, is revolved in small circles about the axis of the shaft 33 of the driving motor 19, the brush is carried by a plate 30 rotatably mounted on a pin 31, secured eccentrically of the shaft 33, in a plate carried by the latter and formed with a counterweight 35 for counterbalancing the weight of the polishing head assembly. Additionally, the plate 35 is formed with a rib 40a, Fig. 3, which serves to counterbalance the reaction forces on the machine when the revolving polishing head is applied to the floor.
