Abstract
906,754. Gas turbine plant. LUTZ, O. June 7, 1861, No. 20617/61. Class 110 (3). [Also in Groups XXXI and XXXIII] A gas turbine engine feeds gases either from a compressor driven by the engine or the exhaust gases or ram air from the engine intake or a mixture of any of these gases to combustion equipment, where additional fuel may be burnt. The gases from the combustion equipment are fed to a turbine which is drivingly connected to an output shaft mounted so that its rotational axis is pivotable relative to the engines. The exhaust and by-pass air from a by-pass engine 1 are fed to a combustion chamber 11 and then exhausted to atmosphere from a nozzle 17<SP>1</SP> through a turbine 13. The turbine is mounted on an output shaft 16 connected to a propeller 15 by gearing 14. The casing 17 is rotatable about a coupling 12.
