Abstract

905,800. Hose pipes. ULVSUNDA GUMMIFABRIKS A.B. April 28, 1961 [May 3, 1960], No. 15432/61. Class 99(2). In a hose consisting of a tube of rubbercoated, textile fabric and a helically-extending metal wire 3, the tube is formed by a helically wound band the edges of which overlap; and is so disposed over the wire that the portions of tube intermediate the coils of the wire have the same internal diameter as that of the coiled wire. In making the hose the band 2 and wire 3 are wound simultaneously on to a mandrel 1 and the band, during vulcanisation of the rubber is held engaged with the mandrel by means of a helically wound cord 4.
