An inflatable swimming jacket is made from welded laminated polyvinyl-chloride sheet and consists of front sections 1, 2 and a back section 3 each having a plurality of inflatable interconnected pockets 4. Eyelets 7, 10 in stiffened edge strips receive adjustable lacing at the sides and toggle and loop fastenings at the centre opening.
