Abstract

904,901. Liquid fuel burners. STARHILL COMBUSTIONS Ltd. Sept. 12, 1958, No. 398/60. Divided out of 904,900. Class 75 (1). A mixture of fuel and gas or vapour is discharged from orifices in a burner head 10 into a tubular flame stabilizer 12 having an air inlet aperture 13 axially close to but radially remote from the burner head. The air inlet may be adjustable. The burner head and stabilizer are axially adjustable in a casing 14 supplied with air through a pipe 18 and having an inwardly-flared outlet leading to a quarl 16. A sleeve 17 of refractory material surrounds the stabilizer but is spaced therefrom.
