Abstract

893,536. Wrenches. STANDARD PRESSED STEEL CO. Aug. 9, 1960, No. 27528/60. Class 61. [Also in Group XXV] In a torque coupling particularly a socket head fastener and wrench, a socket 18 in the head 17 comprises equally spaced peripheral surfaces 19, connected by inwardly bowed surfaces 20 tangential to an imaginary circle 21 having a diaameter x. The radius of curvature of each of the surfaces 20 is substantially equal to the diameter x, and the depth of the socket is less than the diameter x. The wrench &c., 26 has faces 27,28 which co-operate with the faces 19, 20 of the head 17.
