Abstract

A cap pessary comprises an outer, impervious rubber cap with a sponge rubber or plastic lining. The latter is coated with a wax, which melts at body temperature, mixed with a chemically-active agent such as sodium laurylic sulphonate, oxychinoline sulphate or nonyl phenoxy polyetoxy ethanol.
