Abstract

891,054. Cycle stands with locking arrangements. KAYE, M. July 22, 1960, No. 25668/60. Classes 79(3) and 136(1). A device for preventing unauthorised use of a motor scooter or like machine comprises a parking stand 14 combined with an arm 6 on the frame 3 having means for locking it to the frame when it is moved into engagement therewith. The arm 6 is pivoted at 7 on the flange 8 of a bracket on the frame. It has a transverse head 9 with holes 10 to take the hasp of a padlock (not shown) which also passes through a corresponding hole in a strap or plate 12 fixed on the stand 13. When the arm is raised on to a strap 25 it is held in the horizontal position by a projection 19 on a hand-lever 16 pivoted on to the flange 8 at 17 and operated by a finger plate 22 against a spring 24, which urges, the finger outwards.
