Abstract

890,134. Fork lift trucks. JUNGHEINRICH, F. Oct. 20, 1959 [Nov. 28, 1958], No. 35417/59. Class 78 (3). A fork lift truck of the kind having a mast 3 mounted on the truck chassis for longitudinal sliding movement, is provided with a counterweight 4 which is moved simultaneously with, and in the opposite direction to, the mast by a mechanism comprising bars 10 attached to the mast at 12 and pivoted at 9 to pairs of links 8 which are pivoted to the chassis at 11, and counterweight supporting rods 5 which are connected to the links at 7 and slide in bearings 6 secured to the chassis. In various modifications (not shown), the coupling between the mast and counterweight is effected by screw, hydraulic or electrical meaus.
