Abstract
898,077. Knitting-machines. MORETTA, M. S. Sept. 12, 1960 [Sept. 12, 1959], No. 31270/60. Class 74 (2). A circular knitting-machine has a plurality of yarn feeding stations A, B, C, D spaced equally apart and each station has an equal number of yarn guides 1. A number of cam discs 12 . . . 16 equal in number to the number of guides 1 at each station are mounted on a bearer 11 coaxially with the needle cylinder. Each disc is adapted to control the corresponding guide at each station so that by rotating the bearer 11 by mechanism 17 . . . 24 the same yarn guide selection is made simultaneously at each station. If it is desired to render a station inactive the yarn guide support 6 can be moved away from the needle cylinder whereby the cam discs do not act on the guides.
