An apparatus for recording the depth of fishing of a trawl net comprises a Bourdon gauge 1 mounted in a watertight casing 4, the water pressure being transmitted to the gauge by a pipe 6 screwed into a hole in the casing sealed by rubber washers 8. The gauge has a main pointer 2 and a second pointer 3 for recording the maximum reading.
