[Also in Group XL (c)] An assembly for use in liqud level sensing (see Group XL (c)) comprises a barium titanate or magneto-strictive element 24 cemented to stainless steel or aluminium slug 26 which solely supports it, the end face 36 of housing 34 being fixed to junction 28 at a nodal point. The slug and electro-acoustic element may each be #/2 long and the housing may contain a matching transformer, Fig. 4 (not shown). Specification 883,904 is referred to.
