Abstract
881,477. Perforating. HEIN, LEHMANN & CO. A.G. Jan. 17, 1958 [Feb. 14, 1957], No. 1661/58. Class 83 (4). A tool for perforating a row of holes in a metal sheet, e.g. for making a sieve, consists of a plurality of parts 1, 9, each forming a plurality of holes, the parts 1, 9 being attached to a beam 5 movable up and down in a press or like machine and being individually adjustable up or down relative to the beam to compensate, e.g. for irregularities in the sheet. The parts 1, 9 have oversized holes through which pass bolts 8 attaching the parts 1, 9 to the beam 5. Adjusting studs 4 having ends provided with threads of different pitch engaging the beam 5 and collars 6, respectively, are provided for each end of each part 1, 9. The collars 6 engage pressure blocks 2 which bear against the parts 1, 9. A non-rigid strip 7 may be interposed between the blocks 2 and the parts 1, 9.
