Abstract

880,899. Cooking-spits; mounting. ROTISSO-MAT Ltd. Jan. 27, 1960, No. 2978/60. Class 28 (1). A number of rotated spits 11 are removably mounted between spaced end plates 6, 7 of a cooker, one end of each spit carrying a planet pinion 12 rotated by a sun pinion 13. A loaded spit held in an operator's hooks is entered through a pivoted up door 2, Fig. 1, and its point end is entered into one of the holes in the end plate 6. The other end of the spit carries a bush 18 with a taper 21 spaced from a carrying sleeve 23 by a neck which is pushed into the narrow part of 25, Fig. 5, of a keyhole slot 27 in the end plate 7 which slot is to receive the cylindrical part 20 of the bush when the spit is moved axially in its bodily rotation when a slope 15 of a plate 17 engages the sun pinion. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 839,068.
