Abstract
888,847. Thermionic cathode constructions. TESLA, NARODNI PODNIK. July 18, 1958 [July 29, 1957], No. 23132/58. Class 39(1) A directly heated cathode consists of a wire having a central portion 1 of uniform diameter, and gradually tapering end portions. The length of each tapering portion 2-3 and 2-4 is less than the length of the wire over which there will be a perceptible cooling effect due to direct conduction to the end supports of the cathode.
