887,226. Centrifugal pumps. GOULDS PUMPS Inc., and PFAUDLER PERMUTIT Inc. April 11, 1958 [Aug. 15, 1957], No. 38109/59. Divided out of 887,225. Drawings to Specification. Class 110 (1). The subject-matter of this Specification is identical with that described in Specification 887,225, but the claims are concerned with a centrifugal pump comprising a casing having at least two casing parts all portions of which exposed to the liquid being pumped are coated with a corrosion-resistant material, one of the parts having an outwardly-facing annular shoulder and the other part having an inwardlyfacing annular shoulder mating with the outwardly-facing shoulder, an annular sealing surface formed on each of the parts adjacent the shoulders, the sealing surfaces being coated with the corrosion-resistant material and an annular compressible sealing element between the sealing surfaces. Specification 887,224 also is referred to.
