A screw-locking device comprises a locking disc 4 with one side secured -against rotation relative to the element 2 bearing the female thread by means of fine serrations 3 having a radial component and secured against rotation relative to the element 1 bearing the male thread by at least one bolt 5 fitted eccentrically in relation to the element 1. A lockwasher 6 may be used to secure the bolt(s) 5. The locking disc 4 may be of softer material than the element 2, which may, e.g., be a nut or an annular boss.
