Abstract

879,378. Brackets. SAGE & CO. Ltd., FREDERICK. Oct. 27, 1959 [Oct. 27, 1958], No. 34394/58. Class 52(5). A bracket arm 1 is attached to its support 8 by a pin 4 received in a bayonet slot 6 the inner part of which is so inclined to the vertical as to draw the arm flush against the support as the arm is attached. As shown, a series of slots 6 are formed in a plate 5, the rear edge of which is rivetted in a groove in support 8. The arm 1 has two check plates 2 extending rearwardly therefrom at 3 to define a recess bridged by two vertically-spaced pins 4. A slidable catch 21, 22 on the bracket can be introduced into the upper slot 6 to lock the arm in place. In a modification two spaced plates 5 are provided each with slots 6 and the rear end of the arm is received between them and has two vertically-spaced pins and each projecting on either side of the arm for engagement in the slots. The slot or slots may be in the arm and the pins on the support. As shown, the support 8 has arms 10 carrying panels 13.
