876,016. Glass compositions. ZEISSSTIFTUNG, CARL, [trading as JENAER GLASWERK SCHOTT & GEN.]. March 17, 1960 [March 19, 1959], No. 9478/60. Class 56. A glass suitable for fusion with an ironcobalt-nickel alloy comprises the following in percentages by weight :- SiOz 64-69; B 2 O 3 18-20; Al 2 O 3 0À8-1À8; Na 2 O 0À4-0À8; K 2 O 7À0-9À5 ; BaO 1À0-4À0; F 0À2-1À5, the balance if any consisting of compatible constituents. As refining agent, 0À5-2À0% KCl may be used. A suitable batch and examples are given, the mixture being melted and refined in the temperature range 1430‹C.-1460‹C.
