Abstract

862,106. Shedding motions for looms. SDRUZENI PODNIKU TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI. Aug. 13, 1958, No. 26023/58. Class 142(2). To enable loom shedding mechanism to be quickly converted from one weaving a warp face fabric to one weaving a weft face fabric, the healds are operated by a cam 9 and cranked shaft 6 a roller 8 on the shaft engaging the cam. The shaft is changed end-for-end in the direction of the arrow to effect the conversion. Members 2-5 and 7 connect each heald shaft to its cam. The cam is pivoted at 10 and has three points a, b, d which lower the shaft for three picks and a point c which raises the shaft for one pick. When the shaft 6 is turned end-for-end, the points a, b, d, raise the shaft for three picks and the point c lowers it for one pick.
