Abstract

862,036. Windscreen wipers. BOSCH G.m.b.H., R. Jan. 20, 1959 [Feb. 1, 1958], No. 2030/59. Class 138(1). In a windscreen wiper adapted for cleaning windscreens having curved sides and comprising a flexible strip 7, 8, Fig. 3, holding the wiper blade 9 and connected by yoke-shaped brackets 5 to the wiper arm (not shown), the strip is rendered more flexible at the end intended to operate over a curved side portion of the windscreen by the provision of stops 11, Fig. 4, in the edges to render the end portion progressively narrower, or of apertures 13, Fig. 5, progressively closer together, or of openings 14, Fig. 6, of increasing size.
