862,035. Tunnel kilns. ATON PLANUNGS. UND BAUGESELLSCHAFT FUR DIE KERAMTSCHE INDUSTRIE. Dec. 12, 1958 [Dec. 13, 1957], No. 401.53/58. Class 51 (1). A tunnel kiln is heated by pulsating burners, each of which has an independent air supply. The air is supplied under pressure through two ducts concentric with the burner nozzle, the inner duct supplying the primary combustion air, and the outer duct supplying secondary air and controlling the kiln atmosphere. The ducts are separately controllable, the velocity of the air issuing from the inner duct determining the length of the flame.
