Abstract
861,211. Air supply to burners. SOC D' ETUDES DE VEHICULES S.E.V. Dec. 28, 1959 [Dec. 31, 1958], No..43991/59. Class 75 (1). A burner comprises an inner casing 1 surrounding a fuel-feeding pipe 2, and an outer flat cylindrical casing 4, into which air enters through a radical pipe 4<SP>1</SP> and which is subdivided inwardly by a number of coaxial walls. 6,7,8,9 into a plurality of annular chambers communicating with one another through ports 10 formed in the walls to subdivide the air, which finally enters the casing 1 radially through an annular slot 5 (not shown). Instead of ports 10, passage ways extending through the height of the wall or annular slots extending through, the periphery of the walls may be provided. The number of openings in the walls increases for the walls nearest the burner and the openings are symmetrically shifted with reference to one another.
